Meet our sponsors: YITH

YITH is the world’s first and fully independent platform for the sale of plugins for WooCommerce, meaning that they are the authors of more than 100 plugins.

Examples of the extensions they have is to sell gift cards, create a wishlist and another one that turns the ecommerce shop into a marketplace – like Amazon or AliExpress – where external vendors sell their own products in exchange for a provision on every sale made. They also have a product that can turn your ecommerce shop into a platform for booking apartments or hotel rooms, just like Airbnb or Booking.com.
All plugins are developed on their own framework which has proven to be extremely stable and compatible when combining plugins as well as with many popular themes.
Their growing team of support and developers will always endeavour a 99% customer care and satisfaction rate, 7 days a week.

Sponsor Yith

Do you want to know more about our silver sponsor YITH? We asked the people of YITH a few questions!

What does a typical day at your office look like?

We run YITH from 2 offices, one in Sicily and one in Tenerife, though some of the 27-strong team work remotely including Spain mainland and the UK.
We use various tools to communicate and the team meets at least twice a year.

How did the company get started?

Our CEO Nando and his wife started with a blog helping the Italian web designers up their skills. The business soon exploded and since then YITH has grown to be the biggest independent WooCommerce plugin marketplace.

How does WordPress benefit your company?

Obviously without WordPress and WooCommerce our company would have looked very different. But WordPress is more than just a CMS and the community is greatly inspiring us to keep improving. All team members regularly attend or organise WordCamps, Meetups and contributor days.

How do you see your company evolving in the next 5 years?

We have some great plugins coming out for which we are really excited about. One is a POS system, this was developed based on our customers requests. Apart from that, we have plenty of exciting projects brewing in our heads and board room…

How diverse is your company? What do you do to improve it?

From the beginning we have embraced ‘smart working’ using new technologies. We constantly look to innovate using tools, which is reflected from management to customer service and from our plugins to the designs. We speak over 6 languages and have as many nationalities amongst us. It is great to learn from each other and from the wider WordPress community, through Meetups and WordCamps
